French-speaking therapist offering online therapy across Ontario
Psychothérapie en français en Ontario
Being able to speak freely in therapy matters. When French is your first language, or simply the language in which you feel most comfortable, it can be easier to describe emotions, experiences, relationships, and difficult moments without having to translate yourself first.
I offer psychotherapy in French to adults across Ontario through secure virtual sessions.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, challenges with boundaries, trauma-related difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed, therapy can provide a space to better understand what you're going through and identify practical ways forward.
Having therapy in your preferred language can help you:
-
•
Express yourself more naturally without searching for the right words in English
-
•
Talk about complex or emotional experiences with greater nuance
-
•
Feel more comfortable and understood during sessions
-
•
Explore experiences connected to family, culture, identity, or immigration
-
•
Focus your energy on the therapeutic process rather than translation
You don't need to speak exclusively in French. If you're bilingual and naturally switch between French and English, you're welcome to use whichever language feels right in the moment.
French-speaking therapy that understands cultural context
Francophone communities in Ontario are diverse. You may have grown up in Ontario, moved from Québec, or come to Canada from another French-speaking country or community.
Language can also intersect with migration, family expectations, cultural identity, belonging, and the experience of adapting to life in a predominantly English-speaking environment.
My approach is culturally sensitive and focused on understanding your individual experience rather than making assumptions based on where you come from.
